Life in Tolga Lodge

Let me tell you a story... about the things we are doing here, in the middle of nowhere, a magic place called Tolga Lodge...

So meine damen und herren... far far away from any civilization, somewhere in

the middle of Tablelands there is a Country Lodge providing Quality Budget Accommodation for working backpackers... (that's what we read on the sign anyway). this is where I reside. The window directly above entrance to the reception (facing you) is my President Suite. I have not only one bed but 4 beds... in bunk configuration;) one of the advantages of the room is that I am having internet connection available, which is a certain advantage in this property. Well that will be all about the quality... I am not mentioning the budget as it is very controversial topic amongst the lodgers. We are still thinking what kind of budget the owner has in mind... anyway this is how it looks like. What we are doing there? Let me begin...

Mainly we are enjoying company of the animals like this unusual visitor, "larry the possum" or rabbits. Also we are having a permanent residents of the lodge like rats, geckos and bats, but the Queen of the Tolga animal kingdom is Garfield. Successfully living up to the cartoon character reputation. Eating everything what we throw her (pasta as the favorite dish) and also efficiently reducing population of rabbits and rats.

In the odd times we enjoy drink... or two. As for true backpackers and travelers we taking a good care about our mental health while we stay here.

Sometimes we run short on food, but always quite creatively we find ways to consume required amount of calories.

But most importantly we are having FUN! Ant nothing will take that away :) enjoying a box of goon with friends in south american style :)

Sometimes we do some pranks or surprise others in many quite amusing ways :)

or simply enjoying few refreshing glasses of "white wine" in scottish and welsh style :)

Sharing experiences from all over the world

We have tried to set this place on fire as well. We had few pyromaniacs in the house.

or we are just simply raving in italian mafia style :)

We have tried beer pong once with the tragic results... we all lost ;p well I did ;p

... organizing illegal games of texas hold 'em 

or express monopoly clashes... equally illegal... and very emotional... fortunes has been made and lost many times

Sometimes we are coming up with unique ways of drinking... I really like that one :) well the only person who could come up with this idea must come from Scotland.

sometimes having problems with proper spelling...

but compensating this skill with amazing talents shared in the kitchen where we are reengineering food from cheese toasties to Moroccan Lamb

From time to time leaving the lodge behind to enjoy outdoors...

Enjoying the warmth of fire...

visiting local natural attractions

Or doing actual exercise, playing barefoot football or as for today - playing basketball.

most importantly we are having a lot of fun big time! :)
