We've arrived in Coffs just before 7pm, checked in and done small exploration of the area we went for a steak this time to the local restaurant. Very pleasant food, good music (some reggae band) which conclude our evening. In Coffs we were staying two nights. So the Monday 19/12 we had first driving free day.
We spend it on leisure. First we went to the pool for a splash and then we hit the beach. Where surfing was going on big time! Our Friends Liam and Anna were fighting the swells, catching and riding the waves. We had our first contact with surfboards in OZ. There was a huge difference between now and our lesson in Achill Island back in May. Mainly in the size of the waves! But we had a go on the surfboards and body boards. Good fun!
After the beach we had some burgers from the barbie the Aussie style:) used widely available BBQ's - it was a great fun and was very tasty :)
Tomorrow morning after breakfast we are heading towards Byron Bay where we will spend 2 nights, and then we are heading to Surfers Paradise for Christmas! :)
