Auckland, New Zealand!

Welcome in Auckland, New Zealand!!

Alex in Auckland New Zealand
Long time no see! You probably were wondering, where the hell is Olo :) Well, here I'm!

How we get here? that was very easy... by plane!! :)

Why we moved here? That's a different story.
First of all we had intentions to stay in Australia for 3 months and find a way to stay there longer.

In the mean time I was doing some research and I've stumbled on possibility to get a work and holiday visa in New Zealand. Quota for polish citizens wasn't that big at all, only 100 visas per year. Luckily for me, opening was on the 18th of February 2012! Just few weeks before our Australian visa expires. At midnight of that day, I was ready. I've lodged my application swiftly, 10 days later visa was granted to me and here I am, in Auckland with one year working visa in my hand!

My next task in this project is to find a sponsorship in this country. In the mean time I'm doing some work in a restaurant and for direct sales company. Getting my budget sorted out :) That will help me to plan our travels further. There is a lot to see and do in this country. I'm not sure if you know that New Zealand offers the largest amount of outdoor activities in the world, based in one country. From bungee jumping through skiing and surfing to tramping and hiking. From glacier climbing to bird watching, hunting, fishing and sailing, paragliding and don't even know what else I can squeeze in here. One thing you can expect from this country is that there is plenty do to and see.

Volvo Ocean Race - Auckland 2012
Two weeks after our arrival we had an opportunity to experience Volvo Ocean Race stopover here in Auckland. Then we had a mad St. Patrick's Day in Kiwi/Irish style! Followed by Red Bull City Scramble two weeks later! No wonder that time fly in here.

Tomorrow I'll post some pictures from those events!

I'll let you know about our Kiwi experience! :)

What's next? Well you'll have to be patient and wait. I've made a list and slowly I'll reveal everything to you :) till then...

All the best from down under!
