Autumn in Canberra

I have recently moved down do Canberra, looking for new opportunities and going against the herd. As you might know, everyone thinks Canberra is shit, but very few of them were actually here.
So here I am, on my new adventure and mission to Discover Canberra, while working :P

I am here just over a week, slowly settling down. Will see what coming weeks will bring. But for now I just can say that climate is more European here, it seems like I will have a proper autumn.

so picture of the day is that one

Brisbane City of Lights

Way back in September, when I was still living life of a backpacker in Brisbane City Backapackers Hostel, there was a nice festival happening around the city. One of the main display of the month was a light show, which happened 3 times every evening and lasted about 10 mins. Pretty alright. I managed to record the whole lot without any Asians jumping in front of the camera. So enjoy, I have seen it live probably 6 times :D

The Tale of The Few Quiet Pints

So here is the continuation of the story.

Right after the famous weekend in Cairns, me and Conor jumped into the car and began our journey down south. Damaged, bruised and extremely tired, well at least one of us, we hit the road.

Hartley's Crocodile Farm, far up north in Cairns area

During the very first one Tolga reunion weekend, we decided to do something productive during the day, so we don't waste our precious time on laying on the beach or something. So it has been decided that we go visit the Crocodile farm near by, called Hartley's. To see how they breed the crocs for Italian leather wallets, belts and shoes. So I will show you few pics from that very hot day

Lake Morris - Gingerman and the crew up in the mountains

This time with this crew we took a quick road trip to near by lake, placed high in the Rockies. The place from Cairns gets their water. I have to say it is quite scenic place and very peaceful.

Port Douglas - short and sweet visit

While being in Cairns it would be a sin not to visit surrounding places of interest. So one day, 'slightly' hangover we decided
to go a bit north to Port Douglas. A small town renown for Toad Races and shit loads of rich tourist.
But all in all quite beautiful part of the world. So lets have a look on few pics from there and who was behind this little excursion.

Cairns and The Union Jack

Right after my farm work and Tolga experience I have decided to stay around Cairns for a little while, After small research and spending 1 night in Gilligan's I have decided to stay just about 2 weeks in The Union Jack Hostel. I have heard many good things about it and I have to say people were right. This was one of the best places to live in Cairns. I have met so many interesting people and I had absolutely awesome time there! I would recommend it to anyone!
So lets begin a small roundtrip around The Jack
