Australian Zoo and The Irwins

Actually we've changed our plans for today. Instead of paddling half a day and then cuddling koalas other part of the day, we've decided to do the latter for the whole day!

And that was the best move we could do. Australia Zoo it is a full day attraction only. It's not worth it to go there just for the afternoon, because you will miss the whole bunch of morning shows!!

So we began! Crickey! - don't have a clue what that means but it is the main phrase in the Zoo, it everywhere on the magazines, posters, cups, drinks and souvenirs. Maybe some day someone will enlighten me:)

For the starters we've seen feeding of giant turtles!! Afterwards we took a seat on the Crocodile Arena to see the main show at 11am. Feeding the Crocodiles!! But the show it's not only about crocks! We got presentation of snakes and birds and as a part of a Christmas show the whole family of The Irwin's appeared. Of course not the whole family but you can feel Steve passion around this place. Feeding the crocodile was absolutely amazing. It's a must see when you are here in the zoo!!

After the show we went searching for koalas and kangaroos. We took an opportunity to cuddle the koala and feed the kangaroos. Kangaroos at the end of the day were completely stuffed! There was so much people running around with bags of food forcing poor animals to eat!

Then we had a wonder and visited other animals, took some pictures as you do in the zoo. I've enjoyed that day a lot with Crocodile show and Koala cuddling as a main attraction. Mainly that's the reason to be in Australia to see those animals! I've started with the safe zoo option, but definitely we will encounter some wild animals as we'll travel up north!

But for now we are heading to Brisbane for New Years celebrations!!

See you soon!!
